Hot & Hearty Spiced Oatmeal

Gluten free and vegan spiced oatmeal in a white bowl, garnished with apple slices
Instructions
  1. Put spices in pan on low heat for one minute.
  2. Add 3 cups of water and the dried fruit, bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in oats, return to boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 7-10 minutes (or until the water is absorbed) stirring occasionally. Add the nuts for the last few minutes of cooking or use as a garnish when serving.
  5. Scoop approx. 1/2 cup of Spiced Oats in each bowl.
