Often people ask us what exactly is in our products. It makes us realize that sometimes we are so busy telling people what is NOT in the products that we didn’t focus on what we do use to make our delicious mixes.
What is NOT in our products:
All of our products are gluten-free and vegan with no soy, corn or rice. That means:
NO wheat
NO barley
NO rye
NO dairy (no milk, butter, whey, casein… No Cow, sheep, goat – nada)
NO eggs
NO animal products
NO soy
NO corn (often people with problems with gluten can have an unpleasant reaction to corn)
NO xanthan gum (often grown on corn)
NO rice (can contain arsenic)
NO isolates (whole foods behave differently in the body and we believe in cooperating with Mother Nature)
NO artificial preservatives (our ingredients are naturally stable)
Nothing on the Celiac Disease Foundations list of gluten-containing items (https://celiac.org/live-gluten-free/glutenfreediet/sources-of-gluten/)
So you might be wondering by now, what exactly do we put in the food?
We use organic ingredients whenever possible and are actively looking for consistent organic sources for all of our ingredients. Our mission with regard to ingredients is to bring you the healthiest, cleanest, most life-giving options available in products that taste great and are fun & easy to make. This means that most (over 80%) of the ingredients we use are already organic and that, quite often, an ingredient which is not listed as organic on our packaging may actually be organic.
Most of our recipes use a mixture of bean flours and ground flaxseeds. The bean fours have a much more complex flavor than most grains so they are fuller on the tongue and they are generally packed with protein, giving a great array of amino acids (the building blocks of proteins). Flax seeds are (to me) one of nature’s wonders. They are full of nutrients, contain essential fatty acids to help our brains work at their best and create a nice binder for the rest of the ingredients to hold together perfectly.
We use lots of spices and herbs to create wonderful flavors in the food. Each of the product pages on our website has a list of letting you know how the spices and herbs in that particular product can contribute to your wellbeing. These are ingredients like cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon and even, whole-leaf stevia plant. Check out your favorite flavor to see how eating can help your body thrive.
On every product ingredient list, you will see that we have listed ‘Gobs Of Love’ as an ingredient. That’s because we mean it. Both of us (Timothy & Donna) have been trained and licensed as Spiritual Health Coaches. This means that we learned how to direct our emotions positively to create a loving atmosphere in which the food is prepared. There is lots of research about the systems of our bodies impacting the world around us (https://www.heartmath.org/research/research-library/http://www.masaru-emoto.net/english/water-crystal.html). We are very conscious and purposeful when it comes to preparing food for you to eat. In addition, our facility is contained within a crystal grid. I realize this may sound a bit “out there” for most people but the crystals simply act as an amplifier for our good intentions. If all of this emotional talk is a little much for you, just know that, in simple terms, we are all in a good mood when we make the products and we hope you will be in a great mood consuming them.
